I Seminario Internacional La interdisciplina en el Ordenamiento Territorial. Planificación Estratégica y medioambiental
El segundo número de la Revista Proyección se dedica a presentar las conclusiones del I Seminario Internacional “La interdisciplina en el Ordenamiento Territorial. Planificación Estratégica y medioambiental” realizado en el año 2001 y también los resultados de un intenso trabajo que realiza el CIFOT a solicitud de las autoridades del Gobierno de la Provincia de Mendoza en Potrerillos, paraje de la Precordillera mendocina seleccionado para la construcción de la Presa del mismo nombre sobre el Río Mendoza. El CIFOT es el encargado de relevar  los datos socioeconómicos de su población, realizar cartografía base y temática sobre la zona y presentar un diagnóstico preliminar al Ministerio de Ambiente y Obras Públicas. El proyecto se denomina “Relevamiento socioeconómico de la Villa Potrerillos y su área de influencia. Diagnóstico sobre la realidad socioeconómica de Potrerillos”. Se lleva a cabo en el año 1998 y es publicado en una sección especial titulada Otra mirada sobre el impacto del Dique Potrerillos. El dosier permite dar a conocer ciertos aspectos de la realidad de Potrerillos desconocidos por la mayoría de la población y el turista, como también expresar opiniones fundamentadas en el trabajo científico realizado y la experiencia recogida en el terreno. Se busca contribuir al debate sobre un tema candente que involucra a todos los mendocinos, por el impacto que ocasiona tanto en sus alrededores como aguas abajo, en la zona del río Mendoza  y el aglomerado urbano del mismo nombre.

First International Seminar:  Interdisciplinary in Land Management. Strategic and Environmental Planning 
The second issue of the Projection Magazine is devoted to presenting the conclusions of the First International Seminar: “Interdisciplinary in Land Management. Strategic and Environmental Planning”, conducted in 2001 and also, the results of an intensive work done by the CIFOT at the request of the authorities of the Government of the Province of Mendoza in Potrerillos, site in the Mendocinian Andean Foothills selected for the construction of the Dam of the same name on the Mendoza River. The CIFOT is responsible for relieving the socio-economic data of its population, performing base and thematic mapping on the area and submitting a preliminary diagnosis to the Ministry of Environment and Public Works. The project is called socio-economic “Survey Villa Potrerillos and its area of influence”. Diagnosis on the socio-economic reality of Potrerillos. It takes place in 1998 and it is published in a special section entitled  Another look at the impact of Potrerillos Dam. The file allows to present certain aspects of the reality of Potrerillos unknown to most people and the tourist, as well as to express opinions grounded in the accomplished scientific work and the acquired experience in the field. It is sought to contribute to the debate on a burning issue that involves all Mendocinians, by the impact caused both in the surroundings and downstream, in the Mendoza River zone and the in the urban area of the same name.
